Invite a Horse into your Life

According to the American Horse Council, there are 13 million people over 18 in the US that consider themselves "horse people." As Winston Churchill has been quoted as saying, "There's something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of man."

A horse is a major physical and financial commitment. But the richness these +/-1,000 animals bring into our lives is immeasurable.

Horse people everywhere --- share with us why horses bring joy and contentment into your lives.

  1. When I come home from work each day, tired and annoyed, I drive in the drive way...and park my truck..and get out..and the first thing I hear
are soft little whickers and whinnies from my horses...all lined up along the fence line waiting for me. It so makes a difference. I think
it drops my blood pressure about 10 points :-) Yeah...I know...I am a walking hay wagon to them...but I truly do believe it goes way deeper
than that. I think, in the dark times of my life, my horses have saved me over and over again.

  2. Its that almost physical connection I make that's totally nonverbal. We know what the other is thinking - yes its 2 way! - and feeling. Its the most perfect communication I've ever known. There are moments of it when I'm riding that are magic. And they smell good!! :-)

  3. "If I didn't have a horse I'd probably be a bag lady somewhere. My horse is the reason I get out of bed and go to work every day. ;~)"
